The Curator of Education at the Allen Memorial Art Museum is seeking a student assistant from June 2 – August 21 to help with education department operations. Major duties will include assisting with the fourth annual Oberlin Chalk Walk event and related student workshops, assisting with a Teacher In-Service Workshop to introduce regional teachers to the AMAM and its collections and resources, giving educational tours to K-12 and adult groups as needed, archival and research work, helping produce didactic materials for upcoming exhibitions and programs, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Art History and/or have taken the Practicum in Museum Education winter term course. Applicants must be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and possess strong research skills. Basic computer proficiency is needed, particularly Word and Excel.
