Oberlin Senior featured in A.I.R. Biennial

09 Feb

Senior art major Cara Turett was selected to be one of the artists featured at A.I.R. (Artists In Residency) gallery in Brooklyn this spring. Cara’s piece will be on display from March 4 until the 29 as part of A.I.R.’s 8th Biennial exhibition, and was selected by independent curator Lilly Wei out of a pool of more than 400 other artists. A.I.R. claims to be “the first artist-run, not-for-profit gallery for women artists in the United States,” and has been open since 1972.

For the biennial exhibition, Cara’s piece November will be on display. If you came to the Senior Studio halftime show this past December, you will probably remember it. If you missed seeing it in Oberlin, all the more reason to go out and see it in New York. For those of you who are in New York, the show’s opening reception will be Thursday March 5 from 6 until 8 PM.
