the sculpture center wants early career artists. sound like you?

The Sculpture Center has announced its call for artists for its “2010 Window to Sculpture Emerging Artist Series.” This series has four to six Ohio sculptors and installation artists present a one-person show. The series is in its 19th year, but is only open to artists who are in their first 10 years of being an artist. Most of you art majors are probably just entering the first 10 years of your careers, so why not enter and give it a try? For information about how to enter the competition, please go to the Sculpture Center’s website and click on “Call 4 Entry.”

The EPOC (Engineering People of Oberlin College) is hosting a campus-wide bridge building competition this Sunday, and you are invited to design a bridge for the breaking ceremony! If you’re interested in picking up kits from the friendly EPOC, you should stop by Wilder basement Tuesday between 12:30 and 1:30. Or, you can go to the EPOC web page about the competition to find out the details of what you’ll need.

Everyone’s invited to the bridge breaking demo this Sunday, December 7, in the Science Center Atrium.
