design the t-shirt sent to admitted students!

19 Nov

Remember the feeling when you got that acceptance letter to Oberlin? Remember the feeling when, a week later, you got the coveted Oberlin t-shirt in the mail? The offices of Admissions and Communications of Oberlin have decided that it’s time to re- that shirt, and they want YOU to be the one to come up with the new design. To that effect, they are announcing a design competition. You can check it out at their easy-to-remember url,

Here’s the long and short of it: They’re looking for a 2 or 3 color design, to be submitted as a CD by December 12 to the Office of Communications, in Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, or Freehand (the Adobe product). The judging panel consists of Marvin Krislov, Ben Jones (head of Communications), Debra Chermonte (head of Admissions/Financial Aid), Leslie Braat (Senior Associate director of Admissions), Megan Harding (Oberlin’s Brand Manager), and our very own Johns, Harwood (Architectural History) and Pearson (Silkscreen, Painting, and Drawing). The winner, besides all the fame and glory, gets $100.

Let’s get designing!
