AMAM After Hours

16 Nov

Tomorrow marks the Allen Museum’s yearly night-time bash known as “Allen After Hours.” The museum will remain open at night from 7:00pm until 9:30pm so that students may come check out new exhibitions, live music, and catered food. This tradition began in 1997 and ceased in 2002, only to be revived by Education Director Jason Trimmer last fall. This year’s After Hours party will feature music by students Evan Adams, Alex Christie, and Michael Rosen, door prizes, and food provided by Pink Peppercorn catering. There will also be a live WOBC dj on site at the museum and a camera team making a short film to debut on the new Oberlin website.

In other AMAM news, the museum now has an official facebook group created by Education Assistant Alex Michel. You can check it out here. The museum is also hosting images of some works in the collection on Facebook application ArtShare. It allows you to feature art of your choosing on your Facebook profile. You can check that out here.
