Erik Inglis lectures at the Getty

23 Sep

On August 12 “Faces of Power and Piety: Medieval Portraiture,” co-curated by Associate Curator of manuscripts Elizabeth Morrison and our very own Erik Inglis, opened at the J. Paul Getty Museum in LA. The exhibition chronicles portraits in illuminated manuscripts of the Middle Ages. Accompanying the exhibition, this past Thursday, September 18, Erik lectured on Jean Fouquet’s portraits, two of which are featured in the exhibition. You can find more details on the lecture here. Also accompanying the exhibition, Erik’s book on the development of Medieval portraiture, Faces of Power and Piety, has been published.
