Oberlin Art Professor Pipo Nguyen-duy is among 11 artists featured in Cleveland gallery SPACES’ exhibition Living in Your Imagination opening this Friday April 18th. The press release reads as follows:
For Living in Your Imagination, we reviewed all the artists who exhibited at SPACES during the past decade and selected one from each year to present new work. We also invited SPACES World Artist Jiří Černický, who represents our move into the future as an international force in alternative art. At its core, this exhibition addresses a persistent theme in contemporary art — how artists mix personal and public identity as they respond to the places in which they exist.
This show, curated by William Busta, commemorates SPACES’ 30th Anniversary. All artists featured have displayed work in the gallery in the last 10 years. The exhibition will be on display through July 6th, and the opening reception will be held this Friday from 6 to 9 pm. More information on the gallery can be found here.
