A now beloved Oberlin tradition, the 6th annual Big Parade and Festival will be on May 3 this year. To get ready, the Big Parade 2008 is hosting many different opportunities to get your floats built in time. One of them will be tomorrow, April 15, when Ian Petroni from Cleveland’s “Parade the Circle” will be hosting a Parade Workshop. The workshop, open to anyone, will be at FAVA Gallery and run from 7-9 PM. Come and learn about making giant puppets as well as meet up with other Paraders.
Open float building workshops have also started. Every Saturday from 1-4 PM at the ice rink is open float building time, with more open times planned for the week preceding the parade.
