Open Life Drawing Sessions

figures

Don Harvey, Adjunct Drawing Professor, reminds us that Life Drawing open sessions will start back up this Sunday, April 6th. The session is open for any student who would like to practice their drawing skills from 7:00-10:00 PM in the North Dome. Cost is only $3/session. The models will probably be better looking than these guys.

The time was picked by students last year, but Prof. Harvey encourages people to email him if they have an idea for a better alternate time.

Pema Rinzin Tuesday

Pema Rinzin, an Ellen Johnson visiting artist, will be speaking in Classroom I at 4:40 this Tuesday. He is a NYC based artist who specializes in Tibetan Tangka painting, which he studied and then taught in Dharamsala, India. He has shown work internationally in India, Japan, and Germany, among other places. More recently, he was an artist-in-residence at the Rubin Museum of Art. His talk at Oberlin will focus on what being an artist in a cross-cultural context is like. Hope to see you there.

Read up on Tangka art here.
